Conference Overview

The goal of the Twenty-second International Workshop on Automatic Performance Tuning (iWAPT2027)
is to bring together researchers who are investigating automated techniques for constructing
and/or adapting algorithms and software for high-performance on modern complex machine
architectures.

Topics of Interest

We are particularly interested in autotuning and its relationship to the following topic areas, among others. This year we are adding new topics at the intersection of HPC auto-tuning with AI, Energy-aware and Quantum Computing:

AI- and LLM-based approaches for automatic performance tuning and performance optimization
Automatic performance tuning and optimization for AI/LLM workloads
Use cases and case studies of generative AI in HPC, including automatic performance tuning and related technologies
Autotuning for or with non-von-Neumann architectures (e.g., quantum and neuromorphic computing)
Machine-adaptive algorithms
Automatic program generation
Performance analysis and modeling
Adaptive numerical algorithms and libraries
Multi- and many-core systems, heterogeneous architectures challenges
Compilation strategies(e.g. iterative and empirical compilers)
Programming models
Runtime systems
Empirical search heuristics
Power- and/or energy-aware computing
Hyperparameter tuning for machine learning

Paper Submission Guidelines

Submitted manuscripts may not exceed ten (10) single-spaced double-column pages using
10-point size font on 8.5x11 inch pages (IEEE conference style), including figures,
tables, and references.
The IEEE conference style templates for MS Word, LaTeX, and Overleaf provided
by IEEE eXpress Conference Publishing are available for download.
